Is This Your First Rodeo?
by Jim Fallon

Do you think this is your first rodeo?

This is about a concept called reincarnation, and concepts are important. The fewer concepts a person has, the less freedom that person has. The more concepts a person has, like the seven principles, the greater freedom that person has. Thus, concepts are not to be defended but to be utilized as we face the problems of life on earth.

Ancient tradition states that the earth is not the only dimension inhabited. The cosmos is organic and is filled with worlds that are filled with beings. The cosmos is alive with beings, which are living in countless different realms--some below the earth plane of consciousness, or the lower world, and others above the earth plane, called the upper world.

Each being is in a realm or plane of consciousness harmonious to its karma, or state of consciousness. Karma is nothing more than "belief" programs running in the memory tract of your Ku, the subconscious. As one's karma changes, so does the realm or plane or dimension of consciousness in which that soul lives. The souls coming into the earth plane are from these other worlds, or planes of consciousness, what modern physics is calling string theory, a theory of everything, which mathematically shows the existence of other dimensions. Someone once said, "in my father's house, there are many mansions".

Is Physics catching up with what was observed by the ancient mystics?

We do not keep incarnating forever on the earth. Some souls finish their cycle of incarnation on the earth and move on to subtler realms of consciousness and do not return to the earth.

Most souls reincarnate on the earth many times before moving on. The ancient sages acknowledged that the average soul reincarnates on the earth for about 1,200,000 times before they ascend to the next plane of existence within the Entirety (that's a bummer!). Techniques like Stillpoint speed up this cycle.

String theory is an emerging theory that attempts to explain physics in term of a multi-dimensional universe, where the dimensions of space and time that we observe here are limited to three. Ancient mystics always spoke about multiple dimensions, planes of awareness. In Yoga they have a concept called koshas, which are like an onion in layers surrounding the body. Think about it in terms of multiple auras, where each kosha or covering as a different functional state of awareness and purpose.

Physical (Annamaya kosha): food, and physical body, aspect of ourselves.

Energy (Pranamaya kosha)L Prana means energy. allows the invisible indweller, our True Self to be able to animate in the external world.

Mental (Manamaya kosha): Mana in Sanscrit means mind. It is the level of processing thoughts and emotions. It is in direct control of the operation, through the prana, of the physical body and senses. It is like a supervisor in a factory, in that it gives instructions, but is not supposed to be the manager of the factory of life. Because of this, it naturally has doubts, and creates illusions.

Wisdom (Vijnanamaya kosha): Vijnana means knowing. It is the sheath of wisdom that is underneath the processing, thinking aspect of mind. It knows, decides, judges, and discriminates between this and that, between useful and not useful. It is also the level of ego consciousness, meaning the powerful wave of I-am-ness.

Bliss (Anandamaya kosha): Anandamaya kosha is the most interior of the koshas, the first of the koshas surrounding the Atman, the eternal center of consciousness. Think of this in terms of Kane. Ananda means bliss.

String theory is a mathematical theory that tries to explain certain phenomena which are not currently explainable under the standard model of quantum physics. A landscape of string theory solutions exist, allowing for possible parallel universes and other dimensions surrounding "us" like a covering or sheath (kosha)!

In everyday life, there are three familiar dimensions of space: height, width and length. Einstein's general theory of relativity treats time as a dimension on par with the three spatial dimensions; in general relativity, space and time are not modeled as separate entities but are instead unified to a four-dimensional space time.

In spite of the fact that the universe is well described by four-dimensional space time, there are several reasons why physicists consider theories in other dimensions. In some cases, by modeling space time in a different number of dimensions, a theory becomes more mathematically tractable, and they can perform calculations and gain general insights more easily.

One notable feature of string theories is that these theories require extra dimensions of space time for their mathematical consistency. In bosonic string theory, space time is 26-dimensional, while in superstring theory it is ten-dimensional.

So, if you think this is your first rodeo, your first time on this earth plane of consciousness, think again. Hey, maybe you're from a different dimension or plane of awareness, from a dimensional realm of Saturn? As Mork from Ork would say, "Nanu nanu!!"

All actions manifested by your mind and your body mind, the Ku, caused by the manifestation of thought, imagination, desire, or emotions should be be re-directed by the power of your will--not willfully, but through directed attention, will power, makia--thus converting your mind into higher and more noble actions. Whatever you think, imagine, or desire, do it with your total being, as energy flows where attention goes, and with a positive, unselfish purpose of the aloha spirit and trust in a positive outcome.

The Bhagavad Gita 2:27 also refers to the same above concept, when it states "Therefore, in the performance of your task, Hold to the Dharma (right conduct), do not the karma grasp."
