Belief Frequencies
by Serge Kahili King

On October 16, 1986, I received an inspiration while speaking on the telephone to someone. What happened may have been enhanced by a larae cup of coffee I had shortly before. I'm sharing it now as a subject for speculation and discussion.

As I was speaking on the phone, I became aware of a communication that seemed to be taking place at a "higher" or "faster" level of consciousness simultaneously with the conversation. It only lasted for a few seconds in apparent time, but the amount of information given in that period was quite large. For the sake of convenience, I will repeat the information below as if it were fact, but keep in mind that it is hypothetical. At the same time, I must say that it has already begun to have practical results.

The Hypothesis
Everything is energy. This includes not only matter, but thought as well. And beliefs are organized units of thought energy. As such, they vibrate at a certain frequency, in the same way we might say a table vibrates at a certain frequency.

However; it has been assumed until now that all beliefs vibrated at the same frequency and that virtually any technique for changing beliefs could be applied to any belief. This is not the case, and it explains, for instance, why affirmations and visualizations work sometimes and sometimes don't.

To use a familiar framework, we can say that there are beta beliefs, alpha beliefs, theta beliefs, and delta beliefs. There are also probably gamma beliefs (operating faster than beta). At present, it is not fully understood why or how specific beliefs begin to operate in these different frequency ranges, but it seems definite that they do, regardless of how we name the framework. The terms of this framework may not necessarily correspond exactly to the brainwave frequencies they are commonly associated with.

Emotional intensity associated with the belief does not seem to be the factor that determines frequency level, because high intensity energy release, which may occur when a belief is changed, can take place at any level.

Beta beliefs are formed and function in the range of what is for most people normal waking consciousnes This state is characterized by a moderate breathing rate, moderate physical sensory awareness, moderately fast speech patterns and ease of speech, and fairly rapid shift of mental focus. Beta beliefs are in the nature of opinions and interpretations that, while being able to affect mental, emotional and physical behavior quite profoundly, can nevertheless be readily changed by new information or ideas received in the beta state. The most common reaction to the change of a significant beta belief is the "Aha!" experience.

Alpha beliefs are formed and function in the frequency range known as the alpha state, rharacterized by relaxed muscle tone; pleasurable feelings of floating, tingling or warmth; and fairly steady mental focus. Deeper levels of alpha involve steadier focus and less body awareness. Mental imagery is usually related to the outer life and includes memories, daydreams, and speculative imagination. It may also include consciously designed symbols and fantasy. Alpha beliefs are in the category of attitudes which can be changed by suggestion and imagery at the alpha level, and there may be a rather strong emotional reaction when they are stimulated or changed.

Theta beliefs are formed and function at the theta frequency of consciousness. This state is characterized by considerable, if not total, lack of body awareness. Mental imagery is vivid, as in a lucid dream, with much sensory detail. Imagery tends toward the fantastic, religious, mythological, and/or archetypal. Events unfold without willing it, although conscious awareness can permit a fair amount of influence. Belief changes at this level often come as startling revelations.

Delta beliefs are formed and function at the delta state of consciousness, characterized by a lack of body awareness and a lack of specific imagery, although geometrical forms and energy patterns may be, perceived. This is equivalent to very deep trance or deep non-REM sleep. It is not known at present whether this is the same as the transcendental state, or that state often encountered in the light trance of guided imagery when a person goes "out" completely, but still comes back when the suggestion is made to do so. Delta beliefs are generally changed by apparent spontaneous action on the part of the subconscious or superconscious, but it is possible that strong conscious motivation may play a role. It seems to be very difficult to maintain conscious awareness in the delta state because there are few recognizable referents. When a delta belief is changed, life is changed profoundly. Delta beliefs include DNA programming and basic physical structure and laws of physics.

Another factor in addition to frequency is probably amplitude, the amount of energy associated with a particular belief. This energy might derive from emotions or other energy sources in the environment when the belief was formed, such as power spots, vivaxes, or various electromagnetic and orgone fields. Although it was stated above that emotional intensity associated with a belief probably does not determine its frequency, it may nevertheless be a binding force for the pattern. If this is so, then an equivalent energy input may be necessary to change the helief as well as a frequency match. An intense desire could be such an input.

My Summary
This may be interesting intellectually, but can it be applied in a practical way? Here are some suggestions for trying it out.

Beta beliefs: Anything you learned in a fully awake state can be changed by something new you learn in a fully awake state. One example would be fact-checking news reports or social media posts. Another would be learning a new skill or learning new facts about history. Affirmations and thoughtform visualizations also fall into this category, as does the Dynamind Technique.

Alpha beliefs: Hypnosis and self hypnosis fall into this category. So does guided or self guided imagery, like the Inner Garden, symbolic healing techniques and changing memories.

Theta beliefs: Deep, active meditation techniques like those used in Dream Yoga or lucid dreaming practice would fit here.

Delta beliefs: Hard to give a specific technique here, since it's difficult to maintain conscious awareness, but the Stillpoint exercise done with a strongly emotional intention might be a possibility. As one example, my son once found an ivory carving that had been thrown away. When he looked at it the eyes glowed red and caused him to faint. I picked it up and felt extreme anger from an embedded memory. I went into a very deep meditative state similar to Stillpoint, carrying with me a very powerful emotional charge of love, and maintained that for an hour. When I came out all the anger was gone and the object is now a good luck piece.

The basic assumption here is that beliefs exist as frequency patterns of thought energy, that these patterns can be modified, changed or replaced by other beliefs existing at a similar frequency, and that additional emotional or environmental energy can help this process.
