Wai Wai: Effortless Material Prosperity
by Kala H. Kos

This is an excerpt from Chapter Four of Die Huna-Lehre, by Kala Kos and John Selby, soon to be available through Huna-by-Mail as The Power of Aloha.

The Polynesian word for prosperity, wai wai, also refers to a great outflow of sweet water from a spring. As the native Hawaiian Frank Kawaikapuokalani Hewett expresses this, "Wai is the word for fresh water, that precious resource of life. One who had fresh water flowing on his land was considered wealthy." From the Huna point of view, the metaphoric quality of free flowing is inherent to prosperity.

We also find similarities to this meaning for prosperity in the word affluence, which in Latin (affluere) means "to flow in abundance" and the word currency (currere), which means "to run or to flow." In fact, throughout the world's traditional cultures, prosperity is very often seen as an essentially effortless state of being, rather than a struggle to survive.

In this chapter, dedicated specifically to financial manifestation techniques, we're going to explore the Huna understanding of being in the natural human state of prosperity where we realize that we are by nature intimately connected with the planetary energy flow of wellbeing. We only need to learn how to expand our sense of participation in the flow of financial energy in order to tap into this constant movement from po (the invisible creation) to a'o (the manifest creation).

In essence, by actively encouraging at the deepest levels a free flow through our daily lives of needed things, right circumstances and cooperative people, we learn to allow prosperity to manifest effortlessly in our everyday activities and routines. Deepak Chopra says so succinctly, "Affluence is the experience in which our needs are easily met and our desires spontaneously fulfilled," and he concludes that as we experience this free flow in our lives, "we become more carefree and our lives become an expression of unbounded love."

He then states this in terms that agree with both Huna and science. "The more you attain a greater understanding of who you really are as an energy being - an integral part of the cosmic flow - the more you will see your heart's desires emerge in physical reality. If you can think of the higher level of prosperity you want and hold this thought steadfastly as a certain higher rate of vibration, then that vibration will predictably raise your whole life up to that level."

He goes on to say that "when you discover your essential nature as infinite potential, and thus know who you really are, in that knowing itself is the ability to fulfill any dream you have, because you are the eternal possibility, the immeasurable potential of all that is, was and will be."
