What is Huna International?
Huna International is the primary teaching organisation for Huna from the Kahili family tradition of Hawaiian shamanism. It was founded in 1973 by Serge Kahili King and is based in Keaau, Hawaii.
The Kahili Family Tradition
The teachings of Huna International come from the Kahili family tradition of Hawaiian shamanism, a lineage of knowledge and practice that Serge Kahili King has taught and developed into a practical philosophy for modern life.
What is Huna?
Huna is a philosophy and practice centred on seven principles, three aspects of self, and four levels of reality. It is taught in the spirit of the Kupua — the Hawaiian adventurer-shaman — with an emphasis on practical application for healing, growth, relationships and resilience.
Central to the teaching is the Aloha Spirit: a philosophy of blessing, kindness and harmonious living drawn from Hawaiian culture.
Our Teachers
Huna International is supported by an international community of Alakai — trained and recognised teachers of the Kahili tradition. Articles and resources from Alakai around the world can be found in the Huna International article library.
Resources
Huna International offers a free booklet, The Aloha Spirit, available on request. The article library contains 500+ free resources on Huna principles and practice.
